The Works of F. Robert Kelly
When the world is dark and lonely,
And there is nowhere to turn.
When the love is dead or dreary,
And you feel your heart could burn.
When the clouds have blocked the sunlight,
And you cannot see the day.
When you see a life much better,
And think he's lucky he's that way.
For the soon the sun will come out,
And clouds will be long gone.
And everyone who's frowning,
Will wonder what they have done wrong.
People will start to look at you,
And wonder why you look with glee.
It hides away the sadness,
The pain they cannot see.
If their lives are gloomy,
And yours is going fine.
For people will stare suspiciously,
And wonder how you spent your time.
And when you start to laugh out loud,
At the wonder on their face.
And think that at one sad time,
You were in their place.
