THE DAUGHTERS OF IDUN

By Chronofus

DAUGHTERS OF IDUN, FROM THE TEMPLE OF THE FOREST, RIDING ON SILVER HORSES THROUGH THE FIELDS OF MY MIND, RAVENS HAIR AND STEEL EYES, BLADES FLASHING IN THE AUTUMN TWILIGHT.

l THEY FOLLOW ME DOWN THE LONG AND WINDING TRAIL, RIDING LIKE A SHADOW, WATCHING OVER ME , THERE AT MY RIGHT HAND, GUARDING ME AGAINST MY FOES.

SUN DAPPLED SHADOWS ALONG THE AUTUMN TRAIL, PENANTS FLYING INTHE BREEZE AS WE CHARGE ALONG, FEELING THE COMPANY OF THESE STEEL CLAD LADIES OF THE FOREST.

THUNDERING HOOVES ECHOING THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN CANYONS, THROWING UP THE CLOUDS OF DUST TO SHOW WHERE WE PASS, SMILING AND LAUGHING AS WE RIDE ON TO OUR FATE.

WE RIDE DOWN INTO THE MIDST OF THE FIGHTING HORDES, WHETHER WE WIN, WHETHER WE LOSE, WE'RE FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM, LET THE BLACK HORDES FOLLOW US DOWN AND SURROUND US IN THEIR SWIRLING CLOUD.

SO WE LIVE AND SO WE DIE AS WE RIDE THROUGH LIFE, CUT DOWN BY TIME AND THE REAPERS SCYTHE, WE TAKE A BREATH AND TAKE THE TEST AS WE WANDER ALONG THROUGH LIFE.

WE'RE ALL BORN ALONE, STANDING BY OURSELVES, BUT I'VE FOUND THE DAUGHTERS OF IDUN FROM THE TEMPLE OF THE FOREST, AND THEY'RE THERE WITH ME ON MY FINAL RIDE DOWN INTO THE DARK.

DAUGHTERS OF IDUN, MESSENGERS OF THE GODDESS, COME TO TELL ME THAT IT'S TIME TO GO, THEY'VE COME TO TAKE ME ON THE FINAL RIDE INTO THE DARK.
